date for Change is a dating site determined to make a difference. Admittedly, that is a bold statement to make. But it’s not just a gimmick, a ploy or tactic to create self-serving ‘buzz’. Our motivation is unique, and our success is measured by your willingness to join in our enthusiasm to create change.
The site was a brainchild and creative collaboration developed by a group of artists, working towards a common ideal. We wanted to design a platform for people to meet, connect and find love - at the same time creating a socially responsible community, committed to raising millions of dollars.
We don’t want to pull any punches here, date for Change is a for-profit company... As artists, we need to make a living- that’s no secret. How does that work? A certain amount of money is needed to maintain the workings of the site, and pay the artists that work hard to create the service
We collect money in two ways. First, we incur a small monthly membership fee. You pay $4.95 per month, and $4 of that fee goes directly to the charity you choose. We keep 95 cents to sustain the site and pay our dedicated team! Also on the first day of each month, date for Change will extract one credit if your account has remaining credits. Call it a maintenance fee or a credit expiration fee... but credits have to run out at some point, the site is not set up to be a bank! And we promise to use the money to make the site even better.
Every dollar you spend using credits and the $4 per month, goes directly to the charity. We do NOT take any fees on this money.
