Member Guidelines

It may be impossible for us to give out gold stars or high fives for good behaviour; but give yourself a pat on the back (from your friends at date for Change)(remove) if you are following these simple member guidelines:

  1. Treat your fellow members, as you hope to be treated in return. A simple rule... but there’s a reason why we made it #1. Our site is dedicated to building a community of trust, respect and social responsibility...we do not tolerate bully mentality or behaviour.
  2. We ask that all members be ‘single’... our objective is to create an environment where all users share the same goal - to connect with other singles, find love, and raise money for charity in the process.
  3. Over the age of 18. It’s the law, and we strive to be a socially responsible and law-abiding site. For your own safety, and to preserve the integrity of our site and its members...please observe this age-restriction.
  4. Be smart, and make sensible decisions. For your own safety, please monitor the information you make public, and use your common sense if you decide to meet your ‘new friends’ in person.
  5. Be Honest (with yourself, and with fellow users). Before you make connections with other members on the site, determine the kind of relationship you are pursuing. This is not the place to play games, keep secrets or make love into a sport (re-read rule #1).
  6. Be Yourself If you try to over-impress people, you’re only ruining your own chances at finding a genuine connection. If you try to pass off a picture of Paris Hilton or Brad Pitt as yourself, eventually people will notice. If you lie about your age, sex, occupation or physical features... it will only lead to embarrassment in the end. So we encourage you to relax, have fun, and be truthful.
